The four Bachelor programmes of the system-oriented natural sciences start with a largely common base year. It mainly consists of conveying mathematic-scientific basics to understand planet earth with its natural systems and its manmade technical and societal ones. The lectures and courses are complemented by joint Integrated Excursions, aiming at understanding interdisciplinary interrelations in practice. After the first year, an exchange between the four programmes is possible without restrictions.
